At around 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a man in his 20s stepped out of a white sedan and began shooting at two young men who had been walking near the corner of 104th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, an NYPD spokesperson told WSR.
The 18-year-old male was hit in the back, and the 17-year-old male was hit in the arm, NYPD said. Both were transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital and are in critical-but-stable condition, police said.
The shooter reportedly returned to the sedan and fled the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, NYPD said.
