After 12 years writing “The Ethicist” for the New York Times Magazine, Randy Cohen invites you to “Person Place Thing,” an interview show in which one amazing guest tells three insightful and often hilarious stories. The night includes music and laughter.
On Wednesday, November 1st Cohen will be hosting Jami Floyd, the local host of NPR’s “All Things Considered” on WNYC. Floyd has been a news junkie ever since childhood, when she delivered newscasts for her grandmother from the dining room table. In a journalism career spanning two decades, she has worked on everything from breaking news to exclusive interviews to long-form investigations. She has worked for CBS news and ABC news and had her own show on Court TV. Over the years, she has appeared as a commentator on many news outlets, including CNN, Fox News, NBC, MSNBC, and PBS. Floyd has won numerous awards, including a Gracie, two Tellys, a Maggie, and two Cine-Golden Eagle Awards for journalism.
This event takes place at JCC Harlem, 318 West 118th St, between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Manhattan Avenue.
