Every fall, Symphony Space hosts the New York African Diaspora International Film Festival, which combines documentaries, narrative and experimental filmmaking to examine questions of race, identity and politics from around the globe.
This year’s festival will feature stories that explore the human experience of people of color. Highlights include: Blacks in Latin America; Indians in cinema; a South African spotlight and films from over a dozen countries including Rwanda, India, and New Zealand. Select films will have gala screenings, U.S. or NY premieres along with guest Q&A’s.
