After a hiatus last summer, the New York Philharmonic has scheduled free concerts this summer in Central Park on July 12 and July 17. The performances will start at 8 p.m. and be followed by fireworks. (DNAinfo)
The new Westside Market on Broadway between 97th and 98th is slated for a “soft open” the first week of April, with a grand opening two weeks later. It will be open 24 hours a day. It’s the market’s third location in the neighborhood. “George Zoitas said that his family has another new Westside in the works, which could open by late 2013.” (Columbia Spectator)
