H&H Bagels could be evicted from its factory on 46th Street. A judge gave the eviction his legal blessing and now the landlord is attempting to sell the space and a trustee for the landlord says an eviction warrant is “about to be issued.” The company is also facing legal woes at its New Jersey plant, and West Side Rag readers know all about the huge back rent it owed at its 80th Street location before closing this summer. Is this the end of H&H? (H&H still supplies numerous Upper West Side food stores.) (Wall Street Journal)
A man fell from Belvedere Castle in Central Park, either while he was trying to retrieve a cigar, take a picture, or impress a girl by scaling the walls. Sounds like he broke both legs.
