Name: Fiona
Age: 5 years old.
Breed: One quarter Yorkshire Terrier and three quarters Poodle. They call me a Yorkie-Poo.
Profile/history: Ours is a story of mutual dreams-come-true. My parents had the “dog crazies” and were searching for a dog that was small, spunky, and loving. I was just a young pup dreaming of life in the big city and a loving family. We found each other and the rest is history.
Daily routine: Each morning its coffee and exercise followed by a day of work alongside Dad. Scattered around the apartment are little sets of stairs that allow me to climb up to all my favorite nooks and take naps on the bed or the windowsill when I’m in the mood to do some sunbathing. On rainy days, I might sit at the window and just mull with a glass of scotch in my hand, like one of those movie characters who’s always just staring out the window….thinking thoughts. Hmmmm. I love spending time with my best friend Shoshana whenever we have the chance to meet up. At night, I like to crawl into my lair (aka underneath the bed) for a few hours until I eventually decide it’s time to hop into bed with my parents.

Loves: Biking with my parents in Central Park! I love riding in my backpack and feeling the breeze in my whiskers as we glide along.

Does not love: Being left alone.
Favorite store/business on the UWS: Athleta. The ladies who work there are absolutely lovely. In fact, Mom is now the proud owner of an Athleta credit card because I dragged her into the store so many times. (It should be noted that I was on the hunt for treats more than sportswear.)
Favorite treat: Bouchon Bakery’s foie gras dog biscuits.
Favorite park spot: I enjoy sitting by Central Park Lake and watching the boaters. It’s so beautiful and calming. Just like something out of a Renoir painting.
You have an active Instagram presence. What’s the best thing you’ve seen on social media lately? I absolutely love Sir Patrick Stewart’s Instagram account. In late March, as everyone was struggling with fear and anxiety about the pandemic, he began posting daily readings of Shakespearean sonnets. But best of all, he and his wife are fostering a new rescue pup who makes a guest appearance in this week’s sonnet reading!

You are clearly a being of taste and refinement, Fiona!
My dog hates lying around at home while I work, would never lie still watching boats. Loves running after squirrels in the park, walking for miles around the reservoir, socializing and wrestling around in the dog run with other dogs and getting dirty. His davoriye food is any bone with meat on it. Guess he will never make it onto the pupper page.
Hi Fiona! Excellent profile. I love being your neighbor!
Awww!!
