Much of Central Park West will be closed on Saturday morning and sections of Central Park will also be inaccessible, as the NYRR holds its Mini 10K race. Learn more about the race here.
CPW will be closed from 5 a.m. until noon from 62nd to 91st Street.
See the flyer below for information:
Between the protest and events like this I can not take my car out of my building. They should close the park and have the race there.
I agree with John. Why can’t they have their race within the confines of the park?
Its a real mess between closing off streets and the streets filled with cars from NJ and CT trying to find parking so they can run the race and get back to the suburbs as quickly as possible.
That means no bus service on CPW.
At the same time I believe there are subway service changes due to repairs.
And street fairs on other avenues which also means no accessible bus service plus spillover traffic congestion
This is one of NYRR’s few main races with a strong Pro field. These races often leave the park to offer a new route for runners. This particular race is in its 46th year.
