A 34-year-old woman was found dead on the sidewalk in front of 2054 Broadway on Thursday morning around 10:20 a.m., and police suspect it was a suicide. It was not clear if she had jumped from the roof or from an apartment. The unidentified woman did not live in the building, according to the Daily News.
Update: The woman was identified as Samantha Cohn, according to the New York Post. Building residents told the Post that she had recently been diagnosed with cancer.

So incredibly sad. May she rest in peace.
I feel bad for this woman but throwing yourself out a building onto a public street is not just suicide but attempted murder. Reports say she came within a few feet of killing a guy.
Attempted murder!
Now *there’s* a criminal Bratton and the new politically-correct NYPD could arrest without provoking massive protests and demonstrations!
(Well, then again, it *is* the Upper West Side…..)
I believe the NYDN (or NYPost) ran an article on the guy whom the woman nearly hit.
