At the barber yesterday on Columbus Avenue, I saw another customer casually reading a Playboy while he got his haircut. Beyond the initial shock, it made me feel strangely nostalgic.

News:
The trustee for bankrupt Tavern on the Green is selling off the rights to use the name “Tavern on the Green” by auction. The first bidder, known as the stalking horse because it will establish the lowest possible price for the name, already bid $1.3 million. The trustee expects to host the auction next month, and the proceeds will got to paying off the restaurant’s creditors. The winner can use the words Tavern on the Green to sell whatever they want, from salad dressing to tablecloths, as long as it’s outside of the New York area. (Wall Street Journal)

In case you didn’t see it yesterday, we reported that Gale Brewer wants better tracking and enforcement for food trucks, including using GPS to track their movements. She also wants the trucks to become more environmentally friendly.
