Thanks for letting us know less than an hour before showtime. Gotta give priority to those articles with inflated crime statistics and stirring all the YTs in this neighborhood into a frenzy of the arrival of people of different skin colors.
Wow. If you hate it so much [and surely feel ripped off by the exorbitant subscription price you pay for local reporting] maybe steer clear.
Is this the only news outlet you read? Some information actually does have news value and I’m grateful the WSR covers it. It’s not a community calendar.
(YT? Really? Just say white people. We’re all adults.)
What are YTs?
It’s slang for whites. YT, whitey.
It was listed in our weekly events calendar Monday
That’s probably why you started this article with “If you missed it in our events calendar …”
Before Central Park Conservancy in all but name owned Central Park there once were far more concerts of all sorts.
Now CPC limits such events for host of reasons including possible “damage” to Great Lawn or Sheep’s Meadow.
Even organizations as mighty as the Met Opera can no longer afford to perform in city parks. They now limit their summer concerts to young artists with piano accompaniment. A long way from Luciano Pavarotti in Central Park 35 years ago.
Better we have a public park for all to enjoy than simply an entertainment venue.
I totally agree with Amanda. More than half of the WSR events page always seems to be greenmarket info cut and pasted from the week before and events for geriatric folks, students and little kids. I’ve stopped checking it.
Just curious, what category are you?
Uh…. Tuesday was the 13th.
Thanks! 😊
The fireworks at 10pm were a little much.
