Why would any bank on the crime-infested UWS be open WITH TELLERS at “2000” !??!?
Mayor Adams has a ton of work on his plate…
Kevin:
Sorry to have to explain this to you:
But the robbery of banks at teller windows has been a frequent occurrence for decades on the UWS. No, such robberies didn’t just start, or significantly increase, in 2014.
Welcome to the UWS.
I believe the 2000 refers to the time (8:00 pm) not the year.
Possible.
But I wasn’t commenting on the “2000”, I was objecting, using facts, to the attack of De Blasio implicit in the comment. An attack, which ignored the long history of teller window holdups on the UWS.
Major:
“The fact that De Blasio did not do a good job has nothing to do with what awaits Adams.”
You should read my initial comment.
The fact remains that teller window holdups on the UWS are a normal thing, this was true when Rudy was mayor too.
The problem with Kevin’s comment is that it more than implies that there’s some better past to go back to in regards to teller window holdups on the UWS, as if there were some massive increase of such events starting in 2014 — which was Bill D’s first year in office.
At least over the last 5 years, security cameras that are higher resolution and good, not excellent, in low light have become much less expensive and more common.
Seriously?
You are objecting on behalf of De Blasio?
Adams indeed has a lot to work to do.
So did De Blasio.
The fact that De Blasio did not do a good job has nothing to do with what awaits Adams.
De Blasio was a terrible mayor, twice elected.
The first time I give the ones who voted for
him a pass.
The second time I say they were idiots.
You get what you vote for.
The bank is not open until 8pm. That’s the question, not about the year.
That branch closes at 1700. Employees there late, or mistake in the report? Or was that the time it was reported to precinct?
Anyone else think this was not a man but a woman, since no words were spoken, only a note passed the voice was never heard I believe?
Citibank can afford the $200. Let the poor man be.
Really Marianne, sympathy for the armed bank robber? Liberal UWS at its best.
