A car parked in front of 610 Columbus Avenue near 90th Street burst into flames on Thursday around 1 p.m., according to FDNY. No one was reported injured and the fire was under control within about 40 minutes, according to an FDNY spokesperson.
It’s not clear what caused the fire.
Thanks to Ken for the top photo and Flash for the bottom photo.
Check your spelling.
Thanks, whoops!
Am sure “care” was meant to be car in title.
I actually think “Care Bursts Into Fames” is a far better headline!
I don’t.
writiing ‘It’s not clear what caused the fire’ causes me to think that among th people who are thinking about it, more than one plausible idea exists and a few others have been abandoned. i guess that’s okay, but i also wonder if what is actually meant is that ‘the cause of the fire is unknown.’
‘clear’ has become overused. i hear it most from certain press representatives and i think it has lost a significant amount of its meaning. what used to be clear is now muddy.
The preschool is right above those storefronts . Hope the kiddos were safe
