Citi Bike is extending north starting this month, adding bikes up to 130th Street as part of a plan to add 140 new stations in three boroughs.
Several new stations will be placed around Columbia University, and throughout East and West Harlem under the plan, with new stations expected to be added starting on Sept. 12. There will be 10 stations placed to the west of Morningside Park between 110th and 130th.
The annual cost of a Citi Bike membership is $163 or $14.95/month with an annual commitment. NYCHA residents and members of select community development credit unions are eligible to receive discounted $5/month memberships.
The new bike station locations are shown in yellow (and eventually in blue) on this map.
Hallelujah
Has this become a religion?
Yes, it is the religion of environmentalism – the holy order of using green technology to reduce carbon emissions and reduce the use of fossil fuels.
Gloria in excelsis Citibike!
Amen.
Yay!
Great. Just what we need …more bike racks. Are there any plans to buy more bikes to fill these racks?
Agreed. Rarely can you find a bike. Not worth the $
