An apartment in Miles Davis’ old home on 77th Street was bought by a jazz fan for $500,000.
A homeless man in his 30’s was found dead in Central Park near Central Park South and Seventh Avenue on Tuesday night. There were no apparent signs of trauma.
A local is exploring women’s lives after 40 in a new web series. “In her new web series, “The Other F Word,” Caytha Jentis celebrates the highs and lows women experience after turning 40 in a fun and fearless way. The Upper West Side filmmaker felt this demographic was underserved on screen and decided to focus on what she calls a ‘rebranding of aging.'”
Upper West Sider Jennifer Baum was grateful her mother was a saver, she wrote in an essay. “But reading these letters, I am left ever grateful for my mother’s belief in saving things. Whenever I miss her, I can open my drawer and read a letter, her voice, love, concern, intelligence, and sharp wit momentarily coming alive. They speak to a culture and time I might otherwise forget.”
There have been media reports that Shake Shack earnings have faltered a bit.
Funny thing but in NYC seems like the Shake Shack frenzy is mostly tourist/visitor generated.
Always massive lines on 43rd st, mostly lines on UWS by museum – but no lines on East 86th St.
On the other hand have been to SS locations in several other cities – no lines, never crowded
