The Community Board’s Business and Consumer Issues Committee meets on Wednesday night, and they’ll be taking a look at some new sidewalk cafe and liquor license applications.
The applications indicate a possible new tenant for 625 Columbus Avenue at 90th Street, the current home of Trattoria Pesce Pasta. We left a message for the Pesce Pasta owner there but didn’t heard back. That space was listed as for rent at $14,000 a month last year, but it’s “no longer available”.
A bar or restaurant on 110th Street whose name is still to be determined is also seeking a restaurant. Madrel LLC, which is seeking the permit on 110th, is connected to restaurant entrepreneur Marjanne Motamedi of Cibo e Vino on 89th Street, according to state records.
New Ranchito at 924 Amsterdam is also seeking a liquor license.
Guyers, the bar that replaced Wine & Roses on Columbus between 73rd and 74th, wants to open a sidewalk cafe. And Manhattan Valley, formerly Indus Valley, is seeking a new enclosed cafe permit.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, at 250 West 87th Street.

That will be the third here for restaurant entrepreneur Marjanne Motamedi of Cibo e Vino. Brava!
Maybe I haven’t been paying attention, but did Bistro Ten 18 close up? That address for Madrel LLC is that location.
625 Columbus is Pesce Pasta if I’m not mistaken. A friend has been telling me that the place looks like it’s ready to fold.
Losing a pasta joint on Columbus ain’t something.
