A human size gift box outside the Cathedral of St. John the Divine is a piece of public art that raises awareness about human trafficking. “The outside of the box is adorned as a very large gift, with promises of a better life, an education, a good job, or a loving relationship, but the inside presents a much darker truth.”

Beautiful pic of the cardinal! I have 2 blue jays outside my window every morning but I’ve never been able to get a nice pic of them.
How have I lived across the street from Amy Schumer and not known it?! Damn. I gotta start keeping later hours.
Stunning pic of cardinal – is it from this season? What location?
So lil’ Amy’s asking for a big profit from her newfound fame… She just said (in her act) that she was still living in the same tiny place that she’d been in for years and hasn’t had time to find a new place. I wonder if she’ll stay in NYC or move to LA. Probably both.
@Jezabel. She just did an interview with Alec Baldwin on Here’s the Thing and talked about how she will never live in LA. It’s a good listen. She probably just got a little less tiny with her extra money. I would also argue that after closing costs, legal fees, and agent commissions she is not making that much profit especially if she accepts an offer below asking.
Where’s Tom Valenti gone? We were so happy that he had returned to ‘Cesca. We miss him now again!
A woman was attacked at 100th and riverside last night. Do you know about this or have details?
Interestingly if you accept the Public Advocate’s numbers from the Huff Post it is fairly easy to show that at least 100 million dollars in gross revenue would be brought in (I don’t buy her numbers but that’s a different story….). Rosenthal who presumably does buy them or some version of them somehow finds the industry’s revenue numbers a stretch. You can’t have it both ways. If their are 300 flights a day 365 days a year the gross is not going to be negligible. The rides are expensive and they take multiple passengers.
