Movie star and Upper West Sider Kevin Bacon has joined the hunt for Molly, the dog that bolted from her owners last Wednesday in Riverside Park during a fireworks show.
Bacon tweeted a picture of Molly to his 548,000 followers and asked “Friend of a friends dog. Seen her?”

So far, even Bacon’s star power hasn’t brought Molly back. Her owners are organizing search parties. You can learn how to get involved here.
Six Dogrees Of Kevin Bacon?
That is awesome. What a nice (and neighborly) thing to do. I’ve been keeping a sharp eye peeled for poor Molly, esp on my morning runs.
This is great. I’d have thought that any dog would come running for Bacon.
He’s a fellow Upper Westsider … See him taking the 86th street subway on CPW all the time … Glad he showed his support to help out and spread the word
The winner of this years Hide and Seek award goes to Molly. Come on out now. We are getting worried for you.
Unfortunately, I just learned that Molly was killed by a car on the West Side Highway. Feeling very sad for her family.
Way to go Kevin.
Remember the good old days and nights at the good old Allstate Cafe.
