Moshe Shlomo Grun, the father of two hit by a van on Broadway and 62nd street on Tuesday, died from his injuries, according to his synagogue and family members.
“If you would like to honor the memory of Moshe Grun with a donation to WSIS, please call the office at 212-877-7652 or click here. The family will be notified that you have made a donation in Moshe Grun’s memory,” according to West Side Institutional Synagogue. The funeral was Friday.
“Grun was fighting for his life for the past three days in hospital and succumbed to his wounds a short while ago. He is is survived by his wife and two children,” according to JP Updates.
Tremendously sad. Rest in peace.
No matter how careful, a pedestrian is always defenseless against a reckless driver who takes a turn and runs over him. That’s why drivers have EYES and brakes and a legal responsibility to yield, rather than kill, when making turns. Grun’s killer needs to be held fully accountable for his crosswalk death.
Agreed. The Emergency Room nurse from St. Luke’s came to speak to the Community Board on Tuesday night and pleaded for Vision Zero leadership. Too late for this poor man.
Words etched in stone.
RIP
How many times does this have to happen before politicians do something!!! We have to be so careful out there and it’s still not enough to keep you safe.
