8:15 a.m. Friday at the Southeast corner of 83rd street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Some days you wake up and the streetlights are lying on the ground with no obvious explanation. We’re investigating and will hopefully have an answer later today.
Update: As of 9:40 a.m. we heard that the light had been removed and a cone had been placed over the mount. The NYPD tells us a truck hit the light, and no one was injured.
