Gallows humor at the old spot of PD O’Hurley’s on 72nd, which closed this week. Don’t worry, there’s still a PD O’Hurley’s location open on 250 West 72nd, near West End Avenue, apparently serving the same menu as the old spot.

Michael Musto of the Village Voice tore through his food with such gusto at Casa Pomona on 85th this week, that he splattered sauce all over his menu. He photographed the menu, and wrote about the meal: “I’m going to lick the stains off the menu as soon as I finish writing this.” (Village Voice)

The great Absolute Bagels (arguably the best bagel spot still standing in the neighborhood) on 107th is closed until next Wednesday for a full cleaning. Some locals saw it was closed and freaked out that it would go the way of H&H.
