Betsey Johnson is liquidating its full stock as it prepares to close for good, and the sale is picking up steam. Clothes are now up to 60% off, and now the company is in the process of selling fixtures and mannequins too. Even the artwork’s for sale, Racked notes.
Fans of Betsey Johnson throughout the country have been paying tribute to her for the past few weeks since the company filed for bankruptcy (the brand itself will stick around and Johnson will be creative director). Her Upper West Side store on Columbus Avenue between 71st and 72nd Streets has been open for at least three decades.
An employee told us that the stores won’t close until absolutely everything’s gone. Apparently, that really means everything.
Ooooh! What a cool place for the return of that Haägen-Dazs ice cream treat place on Columbus; it closed a few years ago!
And each time you order a primo sundae with all the extras, you can excuse it by saying, ‘No need to be skinny now that Betsy Johnson has closed.’! 🙂
