This weekend, it looks like the weather will be mixed, with sun on Saturday, but rain on Saturday night and Sunday. It’s imperative that you try to get to one of the free concerts in the neighborhood this weekend, if you’re around.
If you do one thing outside this weekend…
Lincoln Center Out of Doors, the three-week-long free concert series held mostly in the plazas around Lincoln Center, comes to a close this weekend, with the 28th Annual Roots of American Music Festival. The Hearst Plaza (with the reflecting pool) will be filled with blues, bluegrass, rockabilly, and lots of other kinds of music you aren’t likely to find inside the opera-loving walls of Lincoln Center anytime soon. The festival starts at 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
If you do one thing inside this weekend…
See Modern Times at Symphony Space. The Charlie Chaplin classic will remind you that the United States used to actually make things, and also remind you that it wasn’t always so much fun for the workers — but in this case, it’s hilarious. At 2:15 on Saturday.

If you’re traveling…
Check traffic info at traffic.com for delays. As for the subway, there don’t appear to be changes directly affecting the Upper West Side, but there will be some changes for the 1, the 2 and the C in other parts of the city. Check out mta.info.
