To help the Central Park Conservancy celebrate its 35th anniversary, ad agency McGarryBowen made the spot below imagining what it would be like if people had to propose marriage inside a public restroom, instead of at the Bow Bridge or some other lovely park spot..
Check out one creative Central Park proposal here.
Another advertising agency deception. I do not expect that people would propose marriage inside a public bathroom if Central Park were unavailable for the purpose.
So when we donate to the Central Park Conservancy, THIS is where the $$ goes!? Blecch.
Well…if you’re THAT narrow-minded and humorless perhaps you should NOT donate!
The rest of us WILL continue to donate, because the park is an incredible totally-free gorgeous place available to EVERYONE whether local or tourist.
And it would not be so great without the wonderful work done by the Conservancy, both employees and volunteers.
Want to see what the park would be like WITHOUT the Conservancy’s efforts? Simply visit any of the outer borough city parks “maintained” by the NYC Dept of Parks.
THAT’s where your “Blecch” should be directed!
I full agree with you on the conservancy and the Park.
However, this video is ill-conceived, contrived and adolescent.
I may have to sue the parks department this is how I proposed, and I think the park existed at that time. I mean if you are going to flush your life down the toilet this is a very appropriate place.
